DAY VISITORS CENTRE AND CARAVAN CAMPSITE LAUNCHED

An event was held by the Tourism and Parks Agency to officially open the new Visitors Centre and Caravan Campsite in Manyeleti-Mpumalanga.

The government reportedly spent 18 million to complete the project, which is focused on serving public interest and promoting tourism.

The MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, Eric Sikhumbuzo Kholwane, emphasised that communities must work together with traditional leaders, in order to create traditional tourism.

“Government must work together with private sector than in isolation. We promise to play an important role in the safety of tourism. It is very important for black and white people to work together,” said Kholwane.

Chief Theo Magwagwaza Mnisi said that the centre not made for South Africans only, but it is also open to international tourists.

Words of support were added by the Board Chairperson-Thulani Nzima and the Chairperson of People and Parks- Lawrence Mogakane.
