Young soccer players gain skills

Young soccer players participated in a friendly tournament held at the Thulamahashe stadium recently. A numbers of teams from surrounding areas were present to learn more skills from each other. Residents came out in numbers to support the friendly games and to motivate the young players.

The organiser, Willies Trevor Khoza, said that the tournament was targeting youngsters who want to grow in the game of football.

Khoza is the coach of Codesa FC in Tekamahala, Mkhuhlu. He is also works as a sign writer in his own company called Jampas signs.

Codesa FC defeated For Sure FC from Thulamahashe by 3-0 in the first game. The crowd was impressed with the skills displayed by Codesa FC; this helped the team (Codesa FC) to also defeat Real Taj- from New Forest, by 3-2 in the second game.

Khoza said that the aim of the tournament is also to help youngsters to appreciate youth month, “It is not all about win or lose, but the most important thing is to gather all the young football teams during this youth month, in order to build and train their skills,” said Khoza.
