Moduping netball ladies remain undefeated
By Kgabu Mahlatji

The Moduping Netball Ladies remain an undefeated team in Bohlabela region after winning another top 8 tournament that was held at their home ground in Moduping tennis court on Saturday.  The Moduping ladies knocked horns with Nkanini who won the first match by 12-0 . Moduping never let Nkanini to get away from them, after humiliating their neighbouring team with two minutes in the first quarter of the game, the veteran goal shooter Euzyl Mkhabela scored just to prove to her rivals that she is one of the best in Netball.

The two teams exchanged goals, and then, with 20 seconds left in the first half, Mkhabela scored again and Moduping were 7-4 ahead at half time. The Nkanini ladies brought on two new shooters in the second quarter Bridget Mashego and Conny Gumede,  but that did not scare the host as they continued to pour goals like they were playing alone.  Their defender Dikeledi Mokoena used her height and fitness to make sure that all the balls are cleared and it worked as they did not conceive any goals the whole second quarter.
The centre player of Muduping ladies Ncobile Maphanga was struggling to supply the ball in 14 minutes before full time, but she eventually managed to out run her opponent Siphiwe Fakude who was giving her tough time and all the balls she sent to the shooters were all converted to a goal.

Euzyl Makhaela and goal attacker Nkele Mokena came back with their own flurry of goals just before full time. Their rivals surrendered before the referee could blow the final whistle to escape humiliation. Moduping coach Joseph Mngwenya was delighted with the team's performance, and he declared that with the current squad no team will beat them in Mpumalanga, after most of the teams refused to play with them.

"We are now challenging any teams in or outside Bushbuckridge to come and challenge us because our local teams have surrendered, we are willing eto go to their home ground and win them” he said

He added that his team is still in need off a sponsor especially to travel when they have games outside the home ground, and they do not have enough equipment.
